Should you have any questions regarding the District functions or operations, you are invited to attend the meetings of the Board of Directors which are normally held on the first Monday of each month at Noon at 3200 Southwest Freeway, Suite 2600, Houston, Tx 77027. Harris County MUD 230 has teamed up with First Billing Services to provide enhanced and additional payment options.
If water service has been terminated, please contact our office to obtain the correct reconnection balance. Any payments made to restore service must be reported to our office to initiate service restoration. Tampering with the meter or district utilities may result in additional fees.

* To prevent termination of water service, payment must be in the District Operators office prior to the termination date. Once service has been terminated the entire account balance, along with fees, must be paid to get service restored; funds must be in cashier's check or money order.

New Customer Information

New residents are required to pay a connection fee and security deposit prior to their account being activated. In addition to these fees, the district requires a signed service agreement on file.

Connection Fee: $25.00
Security Deposit: $150.00 *

* With proof of ownership deposit will reduce to $100.00.

Drought Contingency Plan - Voluntary Water Restrictions currently in effect!

10/6/2023: NHCRWA terminates Stage 2 of its Drought Contingency Plan, Stage 1 remains in effect.

The North Harris County Regional Water Authority is immediately terminating Stage 2 of its’ Drought Contingency Plan (DCP), due to reduced demand. Please keep in mind that Stage 1 of the DCP remains in effect.

The Authority’s Stage 1 DCP request that any customer receiving water from the Authority or well owner whose well is included under the Authority’s Harris-Galveston Subsidence District aggregate water well permit:
• Check for and repair all leaks, dripping faucets, and running toilets.
• Utilize water conservation measures such as displacement bags, low-flow shower heads and leak detection tablets.
• Limit irrigation to no more than two days per week, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. following the schedules below:
o Sundays and Thursdays for single family residential customers with even-numbered street addresses.
o Saturdays and Wednesdays for single family residential customers with odd-numbered street addresses.
o Tuesdays and Fridays for all other customers.
o No watering on Mondays.
Compliance to the above recommendations is voluntary.

High density Nutria populations can significantly impact water quality and lessens the aesthetic value of our waterways.

Feral populations of Nutria are known to be aggressive and can cause property damage, trasmit disease and potentionally cause harm to pets that may get too close.

Ground to Surface Water Conversion

What is the "NHCRWA" Fee on my bill? Due to the growing population in the Houston metropolitan area the area has been forced to make a switch from ground water to surface water. The NHCRWA Fee is assessed to pay for the new infrastructure required for the conversion. For more information on surface water conversion visit the NHCRWA website at:
